13 structured offerings make Abu Dhabi lucky for all
Abu Dhabi, UAE. Sunday 24th March, 2013: Abu Dhabi Convention Bureau has overhauled its Advantage Abu Dhabi initiative aimed at the corporate meetings and incentive travel segments with the introduction of 13 structured offerings designed to enhance the emirate's appeal amongst sector-specific bookers.
Wide-ranging incentive offerings now include: welcome dinners at host hotels, city tours, evening functions Emirati-style, 'Speedster Specials' at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, desert safaris and dune dinners, full day meetings packages, golf rounds on award-winning courses, tours of Abu Dhabi's award-winning Falcon Hospital, tours of the emirate's heritage heartland of Al Ain and its UNESCO inscripted sites, VIP tours of the Yas Marina Circuit; entrance to the Yas Waterworld waterpark; cultural education sessions and event logo development.
To qualify for any of a selection of the new incentive offerings, organisers must hold an event in Abu Dhabi that has a minimum of 50 paid room nights during this year or next.
"The aim is to provide organisers with 'quick wins' to ensure their event is a stand-out happening," said Gillian Taylor, Manager, Abu Dhabi Convention Bureau. "Likewise the revamp will provide Abu Dhabi with 'quick wins' among the sector helping to establish the emirate as the preferred choice for corporate meetings and incentive travel programmes.
"The new Advantage Abu Dhabi options better showcase what Abu Dhabi now has to offer given the expansion of its tourism infrastructure, can enhance the meetings experience by getting delegates out to sample the destination and we have streamlined the application process, which is on line, to make it easier for applicants."
The number of incentives on offer for a single event is on a sliding scale commensurate with the number of paid room nights booked. Bookings of 50-500 room nights qualify for a single incentive; 501-1,000 room nights book can earn two incentives; 1,001-1,500 room nights qualify for three incentives and bookings of 1,501 or more qualify for a tailored group offering. In addition, organisers will receive an Abu Dhabi Welcome Pack for all their delegates, pre-event marketing support and free, impartial bureau advice.
Organisers wishing to apply for the incentives should do so via www.abudhabi-cb.ae at least 30 days before their event begins with the offer apply only to new bookings.
Abu Dhabi Convention Bureau was launched earlier this month to drive forward the emirate's business events ambitions as it looks to be ranked by the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) as among the world's top 50 association meetings destinations in five years. The bureau is a dedicated, one-stop entity within Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi) which supports the growth of exhibitions, conferences, meetings and incentives within the emirate by forging closer links with the industry and providing a full range of support.
