Dubai - U.A.E, 2008 - Xerox Emirates (XEM), the market leader in Document Management Technology and Consulting Services, announced that its longstanding partner, IMC Advertising FZ LLC (IMC), has won first place in the Collateral category at the 2008 Printing Innovation with Xerox Imaging Awards (PIXI), for its "House of Portier" submission. IMC received the award during a special Xerox recognition event that was held at the Chicago History Museum in the United States of America.
With over 100 countries eligible for the competition and around 500 entries submitted worldwide, IMC effectively raised the bar of the industry by producing the "House of Portier", which is a diligently crafted and a highly creative bouquet of collateral for an exquisite launch event in Dubai.
Commenting on the award, Andrew Hurt, General Manager, Xerox Emirates, said: "IMC has been one of our valued partners and with their perseverance, innovation and creativity, managed to scoop such a global award."
Hurt added, "IMC has moved into digital printing in 2004 and with their investment in Xerox's leading edge solutions including the DocuColor 8000 Digital Press that was used to print the winning submission, they successfully positioned themselves as one of the best in the industry."
All submissions for the PIXI awards were independently judged by a panel of international leaders from every major segment of the graphic arts industry, and weighted on the criteria of business effectiveness, use of digital technology, degree of innovation, and overall aesthetics.
On his part, Nizamodin Can, CEO, IMC Advertising FZ-LLC, said: "Winning this prestigious award crowned our long standing business relationship with Xerox Emirates. We submitted 14 entries for the competition, each one designed with a personal touch, but I always had a feeling that the 'House of Portier' would be the judges' favorite."
He added, "With over 30 years experience in the printing and advertising industries, I believe the shift to Xerox's digital solutions gave my business a major advantage in this highly competitive industry. The DocuColor 8000 brought significant cost and time saving value, and helped address the growing challenges in our business. I believe our relationship with Xerox Emirates will grow from strength to strength in the years to come."
PIXI awards were designed to reward and reinforce partnerships between printers, their customers, and other key players in The New Business of Printing®. This contest, judged by leading experts of the print industry, honors the highest achievements in digital printing.
