IKCO will unveil Peugeot 207i simultaneous with the 31st anniversary of the Islamic Revolution victory.

Mir Javad Soleimani, IKCO's deputy CEO in this regard said, "500 units of this car will be produced by the end of the Iranian calendar year (March 20, 2010); the car's daily production in IKCO will be 200 units that would be increased due to the market demand."

Soleimani estimated the total capital needed for the industrialization of 207i to be about one million dollars. Provided that the localization of 207i parts to be economical, he added Peugeot had agreed to provide 50 percent of the financial resource required for casts whenever IKCO demands. 

"Peugeot 207i would be produced in two series of manual and automatic," He underlined and added, "should the production be economical, Peugeot will undertake it's global sales from Iran." Soleimani finally added that 207i would be produced in both hatchback and sedan models. According to him the hatchback model will be produced in the first phase and afterward IKCO will plan for the sedan model."  

207i named 206 Plus is currently being produced in Brazil, Argentina and China and Iran would be the fourth producer of this car.
