Abu Dhabi: ID WORLD Abu Dhabi 2010 opens its doors under the patronage of H.H. Sheik Saif Bin Zahyed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the United Arab Emirates and is endorsed by the European Commission, Emirates Identity Authority and Abu Dhabi Police.
More than 400 leaders and technology experts gathered to discuss tested strategies, best practices and innovations in elevating the automatic identification industry in the Middle East to a whole new paradigm. During that event an award ceremony was organized to hand the most innovative deployed solutions in 3 categories. DEPCO Systems got awarded for the best Innovative Asset Tracking solution for its category "Mobile Asset Tracking" based on its Asset Trail- AMS designed specifically for the tracking of assets across large organization.
DEPCO Systems deployment included the complete coverage of 16 buildings across 8 campuses with 47 RFID readers, 135 RTLS sensors and more than 23,000 Assets. The solution compromised both Active and passive RFID tags and readers and allowed user to add/delete/transfer tags as well through handheld units.
Asset Trail -AMS unique implementation allowed the end user to track asset guardianships being utilized within its organization fully complaint to the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Higher education requirements, in addition to reducing its asset shrinkage problem considerably and provide a more reliable real time tracking, life cycle management and accurate inventory for all its fixed and mobile assets.
