Zamil Higher Institute for Industrial training has announced that the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) has officially approved the facilities and activities of the Institute and its training programs and granted its accreditation. The Institute also recently signed a comprehensive support agreement with the HRDF, which will ensure that the Institute receives necessary financial support.
Dr. Mohamed Abdulla Sharif, Director of the Institute, stated that representatives of the HDRF, headed by the Eastern Province Branch Manager, Mr. Tariq Al Ansari, paid a recent visit to the Institute with the purpose of evaluating the training facilities and the training programs offered. The visit included a tour of the workshops, laboratories and classrooms as well as a detailed presentation explaining the programs and training strategies utilized by the Institute. The HRDF representatives were very impressed with the quality standards of the Institute, which led to the ultimate accreditation approval.
Zamil Higher Institute for Industrial Training offers an open invitation to company owners and representatives to visit the Institute, tour the training facilities, learn more about its programs and meet the teaching staff. Companies are encouraged to avail themselves of the benefits of the financial support provided by the HRDF, especially the two-year Diploma programs, which are accredited by both the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) and Edexcel, the UK's largest accreditation and qualifications awarding body.
The Diploma programs are targeted toward secondary school graduates and are designed to prepare them to become competent technicians in various fields. The first phase of operation will feature Diplomas in five different technology fields: refrigeration and air conditioning, welding and fabrication, manufacturing and production, electrical and electronics, instrumentation and control, as well as specialized short courses on selected topics in technology, safety procedures and other topics relevant to industrial training.
In addition to the HDRF accreditation, Saudi Aramco, Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) and Saudi Electricity Company recently approved Zamil Higher Institute for Industrial Training as a registered corporate training provider following delegate visits to the facilities and positive evaluations of the capabilities and standard of training services provided by the Institute.
