Dubai - February 15, 2011: Hult International Business School today announced that it has selected a distinguished group of eight executives to serve as judges for the Dubai regional competition of the 2nd Annual Hult Global Case Challenge on March 5.

This year's Hult Global Case Challenge focuses on developing solutions to accelerate clean water access and sanitation around the world. The judges panel includes Rick Pudner, CEO of Emirates NBD Bank; Sougata Nandi, Executive Director Asset Management & Sustainable Development, TECOM; Chris de Bruin Country Head of Consumer Banking, Standard Chartered Bank; Tariq Nizami, CEO and Co-Founder of the CEO Club of the UAE; Chris Kinsville-Heyne, former NATO spokesperson and founder of C3i Strategic Solutions; Angelika Wolf, Director at Barclays Capital; Robin Colgan, Managing Director of the Middle East and North Africa for Jaguar Land Rover; and Rich Thorsten, Director of International Programs at Water.org.

"We are very pleased and honored to have such a prominent and world-class panel of judges as part of our Case Challenge," said Stephen Hodges, President of Hult International Business School. "As thought leaders and visionaries, these executives are well-respected in their fields and will bring a wealth of insight to the competition, ensuring that the best team moves on to the finals in New York City."

Unlike other business case competitions that are geared towards solving typical business issues, the Hult Global Case Challenge engages students to use their business skills and acumen to take on some of our world's most critical problems, such as clean water access and education inequity. The competition consists of two phases: a Regional competition and a Global Final. Regional competitions will be held in the five cities where Hult has campuses - Boston, San Francisco, London, Dubai and Shanghai.

In Dubai, teams from elite business schools in the Middle East, United Kingdom, United States, India, Pakistan, Hong Kong and Singapore will compete head-to-head to develop innovative solutions to the clean water crisis. The Judges Panel will evaluate and select the winning proposal, sending that team on to compete in the final in New York City on April 28.

The Hult Global Case Challenge competition is in partnership with the Clinton Global Initiative and Water.org, an organization co-founded by Gary White and American actor Matt Damon. The winner of the final will be awarded a $1 million prize that will go towards working with Water.org to implement their clean water solutions. President Bill Clinton will be on hand at the final competition in New York City to deliver the keynote address and personally present the award to the winning team.

Overall, more than 1000 applications from teams at the world's top academic institutions were submitted to the competition. Thousands of students have registered to participate in the competition, including students from Harvard Business School, Columbia, NYU, Yale, Stanford, Hult, London Business School, Dartmouth, Duke, MIT, HEC Paris, INSEAD, IE, India Institute of Management, University of Toronto, Carnegie Mellon, American University of Beirut, Tel Aviv University, Peking University, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hitotsubashi University and Estação Business School, among others.
