Arab Potash Co. provided JD 260,000 to renovate the Center, add a Mother and Child Center to serve 110,000 women and children in the Southern Ghor

Her Highness Princess Sana'a Asem opened the Princess Salha Bint Asem Health Center in Ghor Al Safi today, Thursday 3rd April.  The Arab Potash Company (APC) provided JD 260,000 to renovate the Center and add a specialized Mother and Child Center that will serve 110,000 women and newborns in the Southern Ghor (Jordan Valley) area.  The work was done in cooperation with Zaha Center which oversaw the renovation, construction, and equipping of the Center.

The renovation of the Princess Salha Health Center included adding waiting rooms, adding and upgrading fully equipped doctors' rooms, sanitary facilities, and other facilities that raise the efficiency of the Center that is more welcoming to patients.  The Mother and Child Center that was added will provide training and guidance on health and reproductive health culture, and provide immunization to newborns. 

In 2013, APC provided more than JD 1,300,000 to support the health sector, which covered providing dialysis machines with special chairs, dentistry equipment, emergency ward beds, and hospital beds to a number of hospitals in all parts of the Kingdom.  APC also pledged a million Dinars for the construction of a full floor as part of the King Hussein Cancer Center expansion project and built an internal medicine section at the Ghor Al Safi Hospital.
