HRH Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Alsaud Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company, received HRH Prince Charles, Prince of Wales at his resort in Riyadh, yesterday, Saturday 25th March, 2006. The two royals discussed a number of bilateral issues, shedding light on decades of Saudi-British relations, during a luncheon hosted by Prince Alwaleed. HRH Prince Charles is involved in a number of international philanthropic projects which Prince Alwaleed commended The Prince of Wales on, and for his active role in and contributions to international social and ecological causes.

After the meeting, Prince Alwaleed cordially presented a gift to Prince Charles, as a token of hospitality, which was a white stallion. The Prince of Wales thanked His Highness for his hospitality and warm welcome.

Prince Alwaleed had previously met with Prince Charles during his visit to the United Kingdom last year. Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall cordially received Prince Alwaleed at Highgrove House.  Prince Alwaleed had re-congratulated Prince Charles and the Duchess on their recent marriage. Prince Charles has ties with a number of Middle Eastern leaders as an extension of His Highness' interest in the region's cultures. Prince Alwaleed had also met with Prince Charles during the GCC Polo Cup 2003 at The Guards Polo Club in Windsor when Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth of England presented Prince Charles team with the trophy, jointly with Prince Alwaleed.
