Dubai, UAE, 4th Oct 2008:What: HP ProCurve today announced that it has completed the acquisition of Colubris Networks, Inc., a US-based global provider of intelligent wireless networks for enterprises and service providers.
HP plans to integrate Colubris' extensive product line into its ProCurve Networking product portfolio. This will expand HP ProCurve's reach into vertical markets such as hospitality, transportation, healthcare, manufacturing, service provider and education.
HP ProCurve will continue to offer the award-winning Colubris Networks Intelligent Mobility Solution along with HP ProCurve Mobility Solutions, providing customers with the choice of integrated and overlay wireless solutions. The Colubris Intelligent Mobility Solution delivers wireless integrated access, management and security products as well as 802.11n capability - all of which help enterprises and service providers broaden the reach and impact of voice, data and multimedia applications.
HP ProCurve and Colubris customers will continue to receive complete support for both product lines. In addition, Colubris resellers are invited to join the HP ProCurve Channel Partner Program.
When: The completion of this acquisition is effective 1 October 2008. HP ProCurve initially announced its intent to acquire Colubris Networks on 11 August 2008. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
