Dubai, UAE. June 05, 2003

Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE:HPQ) today announces the latest addition to its line of easy to use and stylish all-in-one devices. Ideal for the creative user looking for a quality machine at a great price, HP offers the HP PSC 1210, the world’s smallest flatbed all-in-one.

Compact, stylish and attractive, the HP PSC 1210 flatbed printer-scanner-copier measures less than 17 cm tall and 26 cm deep, ensuring that it is a perfect fit for any room in the home and ideal for anyone short on space. The innovative, flexible cord design of the HP PSC 1210 even allows it to be positioned right up against a wall to fit neatly into the smallest of spaces. The HP PSC 1210 is not only fast and easy to use, but great value for money.

In addition to its colour printing, flatbed scanning and copy capabilities, the HP PSC 1210 excels with true to life photo quality featuring up to 4,800 x 1,200 optimised dpi colour printing and HP Photoret Precision Technology on HP Premium Photo Papers. Designed for maximum ease of use, the HP PSC 1210 has both fast and reliable colour printing and copying, with print speeds of up to 12 pages per minute in black and up to 10 pages per minute in colour.

The perfect device for students completing creative assignments and families with homework projects, the HP PSC 1210 is the neat home solution to all-round creativity. The easy scanning of photos, books or even 3-D objects such as flowers or fabrics, delivers razor sharp image quality along with the dual sensor scanning technology at up to 19,200 dpi enhanced and 36-bit colour.

This all-in-one device is available at a recommended street price of $US160.

Sophisticated supplies technology for best performance
The new HP PSC 1210 All-in-Ones work with the HP No. 56 black inkjet print cartridge and the HP No. 57 tri-colour inkjet print cartridge. These inkjet print cartridges are already widely in use with such printers as the HP Photosmart 7000 series or the HP Deskjet 5550. HP recommends using original HP print media with the HP No. 56 and No. 57 inkjet print cartridges, as the components of HP printing systems – print cartridges, printers and print media – are designed together to work together perfectly.

Containing specially formulated pigment-based ink, the HP No. 56 black inkjet print cartridge produces perfect prints that do not bleed or feather. The print cartridge’s integrated printhead features a sophisticated design with 416 nozzles and up to 18 kHz firing frequency, ensuring laser-quality black graphics and texts with every printout. The HP No. 57 tri-colour inkjet print cartridge delivers impressive colour documents and images. In addition, the dye-based inks make printouts dry even faster, reducing dry time substantially. And with the printhead design featuring 300 nozzles and up to 21 kHz firing frequency, the HP No. 57 tri-colour inkjet print cartridge ensures crisp, sharp output every time with extremely small ink drops in the size of 4 to 5 picolitres.
