A high-level Russian government delegation, led by the First Deputy Mayor of Moscow, Vladimir Resin, recently paid a fact finding visit to Damac Properties' Marina Terrace project, the first privately owned 40-storey, 200-apartment tower at the Dubai Marina.
The delegation, on a three-day visit to Dubai, was escorted around the ground-breaking development by Peter Riddoch, Chief Executive Officer of Damac Properties, the largest private property developer in the UAE.
"The delegation wanted to see first hand the scale of development projects Damac Properties is undertaking in Dubai," said Riddoch. "It is too early for specifics but I am confident this visit will have laid the foundations for discussions on future business opportunities both here in the UAE and in Moscow."
Riddoch confirmed that senior Damac Properties executives would visit Moscow shortly to continue the discussions. Damac Properties was the first Dubai-based real estate developer to open a sales office in the Russian capital.
Accompanying Resin on his visit to Dubai were Iosif Ordzhonikidze, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Foreign Relations and Economic Activities at the Moscow City Government, Vladimir Malyshkov, Moscow City Government Minister and Head of the City Consumer Market and Services Department, Alexander Kuzmin, Head of the Moscow City Architecture, Construction, Development and Reconstruction Complex, Victor Damurchiev, Head of the Moscow City Land Resources Department, and Sergey Yakovlev, Russian Ambassador to the UAE.
The VIP delegation also visited Damac Properties' sales office in Dubai Media City and was given a presentation of the company's model for real estate development during their visit to Dubai.
