Certification validates that Gulf Extrusions' production facilities conform to European Standards

August 29, 2011 - Gulf Extrusions, one of the largest aluminum extrusion plants in the Gulf region, has announced that it has been awarded the "CE" Certificate for Factory Production Control, which confirms that Gulf Extrusions products have been manufactured in accordance with European Standards. The German inspection team from TUV Rheinland LGA Bautechnik GmbH revealed in its report that Gulf Extrusions complied with the EN 15088:2006 standard during an inspection of its factory in Jebel Ali and the internal factory production control of aluminium extrusion profiles.

The inspection covered various operations of Gulf Extrusions, including continuous casting, extrusion and heat treatment of aluminium extrusion profiles. The certification also validated Gulf Extrusions' Quality Management System, which complies with EN ISO 9001:2008 and is certified by Lloyd's Register.

With the "CE" Certificate, Gulf Extrusions products are proven to conform to European Standards in achieving the minimum values for tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, fatigue Strength and bendability. The certification also confirms that Gulf Extrusions has complied with requirements to ensure that there are no emissions of substances hazardous to health and to the environment in excess of the legally permitted level.
