Dubai, United Arab Emirates: The demand for organic and natural products across categories ranging from food and beverage, beauty and lifestyle are seeing a massive hike in the MENA region. Suppliers from across the world are standing up to the opportunities and are confident that the potential is worth the focused market development and investments. The increasing number of exhibitors and the doubling of the exhibition space at the Middle East Organic and Natural Products Expo scheduled to take place at Dubai Convention & Exhibition Centre on November 18-20 2018 is proof of the prospects in the region.

Recent surveys reveal that that the consumption of organic products per individual have increased by as much as 38% in UAE and 33% in Saudi Arabia over the past 12 months. This makes it clear that the region’s love of natural products is here to stay.

This year over 220 exhibitors will be showcasing products from over 55 countries. Specialty products that represent 13 major organic producing country pavilions including the United Kingdom, Poland, Turkey, Armenia, India, Sri Lanka, China, Malaysia, Ghana, Iran, Portugal and two new pavilions representing Romania and China will also be present at the expo.

In 2018, organizers Global Links Exhibitions have introduced an all new section for organic tea and coffee growers, manufacturers and blenders. Looking into the specific needs of the region, promotion boards and producers will network with regional buyers to evaluate the trends and demand. Simultaneously, several tea ceremonies and tastings will also take place to encourage trade buyers to experience the products.

The exhibition will see a new coffee product being launched by Croatian company BB Natura Vera d.o.o is ‘More than Coffee’, a functional coffee that contains a blend of locally grown cordyceps filled mushroom, and Columbian Arabica coffee ground together. Also, the Bahara Group from Switzerland is launching an anti-inflammatory health product that is a bamboo water beverage made using only two ingredients, bamboo sap and incense water.
