Senior Hyatt Executive Expects Significant Outbound Gulf Traffic to New Premium Property
Dubai, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES: Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) announced today at the annual Arabian Travel Market exhibition in Dubai that its Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur property should open in time for this year's busy summer travel season.
According to the World Trade Organisation, more than 100,000 Gulf residents travelled to Kuala Lumpur throughout 2011, with peak travel over the summer months.
Grand Hyatt features large-scale, distinctive hotels in major gateway cities and resort destinations. With 37 hotels around the world and critical mass in Asia, Grand Hyatt hotels provide sophisticated global business and leisure travelers with upscale accommodations.
Signature features of Grand Hyatt include dramatic architecture, innovative dining options, state of the art technology, spa and fitness centers, and comprehensive business and meeting facilities appropriate for corporate meetings and social gatherings of all sizes.
"With the opening of Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, we are able to bring Gulf residents a winning combination: their favorite hotel brand in, arguably, their favorite holiday destination city. And, because there are already three stunning Grand Hyatt hotels operating in the Gulf - Doha, Dubai, and Muscat - Gulf nationals and expats are well aware of what to expect from a Grand Hyatt guest experience," said Dubai-based Thierry Bertin, Vice President of World Wide Sales for Hyatt International - South West Asia, on the sidelines of the Arabian Travel Market.
Scheduled to open in July 2012, this five-star luxury city-center hotel, Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, is within walking distance of the entertainment district, popular shopping malls, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), and tourist attractions, including Petronas Towers, which are the tallest twin towers in the world.
In addition to the attractions of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as a whole remains a popular destination for tourists travelling from all parts of the GGC, thanks to its tropical climate, breath-taking landscapes and hospitable people. In fact, according to Emirates Holidays - the tour operating arm of Emirates airline - more holidays are currently sold for Malaysia than any other destination.
"Malaysia is a key destination for Emirates Holidays and our commitment to this vibrant place is reinforced by the fact that Emirates became the first airline to operate scheduled A380 flights to Kuala Lumpur," said Frederic Bardin, Senior Vice President, Emirates Holidays. "At Emirates Holidays we constantly thrive to provide the best service tailored to our clients' dreams and wishes, and this new five star Grand Hyatt hotel in Kuala Lumpur will be yet another great addition to our holiday offer."
Guests can explore the rich cultural heritage and modern luxuries of the city by day and by night or rejuvenate themselves by taking a well-deserved rest at the hotel. Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur's 370 spacious guestrooms and 42 opulent suites are fitted with every modern convenience including generous work desks, luxurious Hyatt Grand beds and stylish marble baths. The size of guestrooms starts at 47 square metres (505 square feet).
The moment guests arrive, they will step into a world of charming Malaysian hospitality as they are whisked to the hotel lobby at the top of the building via dedicated express elevators where a breathtaking 360-degree view of downtown Kuala Lumpur will greet them. Whether visiting Kuala Lumpur for business, pleasure or a little bit of both, Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur has everything needed for a truly unforgettable luxury experience.
