Within the framework of the efforts of the Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC), to provide courses and training workshops in collaboration with a number of academic and research entities, the training program entitled "Leadership Excellence for Entrepreneurs" will be hold during the 6-8 December 2010, at the headquarters of GOIC, based in Doha, Qatar, in collaboration with the University of Carnegie Mellon Qatar.
The program works towards promoting entrepreneurship and creating new projects focusing on new methods to manage the knowledge-based economy, and aims at strengthening and expanding human capacities and capabilities of individuals and industrial institutions in the region, as well as developing the capacities of individuals and investment companies and the role of business entities, and promoting initiatives aimed at the identification and selection of industrial investment opportunities.
The program will further review big ideas in business leadership, business trends (global and regional), theories of innovation management, and developments of modern trade on the Internet, in the light of the developments concerning business and trade arenas around the world, and at the same time create opportunities for businessmen.
The program also aims at promoting entrepreneurship and creating new and successful projects in the GCC countries, with emphasis on techniques and methods of modern management of the knowledge-based economies. Among the most important elements to be addressed by the program, which will be submitted in English, the ability to identify innovative and successful opportunities by the administrators, and inform the trainees on how to optimize the use of modern technology, as well as recent trends in business.
The program targets the individuals who are at the beginning of the operation and management of entrepreneurial ventures, and the executives who are assigned to develop innovation strategies and to perform innovation management, as well as government officials who are working in the field of promotion of entrepreneurship and new venture creation.
The lectures will be delivered by Dr. George M. White and Dr. S. Thomas Emerson from CMU, and the program will be presented through case studies, lectures and exercises and will address the various terms of the newly knowledge-based economies and educational institutions in addition to addressing the business opportunities emerging in the Gulf States.

- The SPSS Program (Statistical Product and Service Solutions) - advanced level- during 27-30 September 2010. The course is designed for people who have basic knowledge of product solutions and services, statistics and statistical data analysis.
- The training course on How to Start a Small Project during April 27-29, 2010, targeting those who wish to start projects, industrial investors, individuals, corporations and consulting firms, researchers and practitioners of funding, development and training institutions, government agencies concerned with the adoption of industrial enterprises and those working in companies and investment institutions industry.
- The workshop on the Work of Strategies and Strategic Planning, through 20-21 April, 2010, which targets those working on the preparation, follow-up, implementation and evaluation of strategies, as well as researchers and planners in the ministries of industry, economy planning and environment, and in the chambers of commerce and industry.
- The workshop on the Spirit of the Community (members positivism), during 22-23 February 2010, which aims at providing participants with scientific and practical methods to assist them develop their skills in building team spirit, make them aware of the relationship between team work and productivity and efficiency, equip them with skills to build professional relationship effectively and to generate creative ideas for continued institutional development.
