Stan Mitchell to address key opinion leaders, top decision makers

The CEO of the longest established facilities management (FM) company in the UK, Stan Mitchell will address business leaders and decision makers in Abu Dhabi at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from 10 to 12 December at the Working Buildings Middle East conference.

Stan Mitchell, CEO of Key Facilities Management, which provides consulting, management services, interim management and project management services to organizations large and small, public and private sector across the UK, Europe and other countries will share his insights and experiences in FM.

In September this year, Key FM had opened its first international office in Heliopolis district of Cairo to provide a full range of consulting, operations management and project management support and services to multi-nationals locating in the region. The firm has also signaled its intention to extend its activities across Egypt, the Middle East and North Africa.

The move marks the increasing internationalisation of the business that set up in Doune, near Stirling 17 years ago, to provide facilities management expertise to organizations in the central belt of Scotland.

Facilities management has been described as the discipline that provides strategic, tactical and operational support activities that will ensure that an organization operates at optimum efficiency and effectiveness.

Mr. Mitchell has been involved in the development of the facilities management profession since the 1990s. He is past chairman of the British Institute of of Facilities Management and convenor of WG2 within the CEN348 Technical Committee which established the European Standard for facilities management agreement.

Key Facilities Management has worked with some of the top blue chip multinational companies in UK and Europe which include CNN, BBC, Compaq, Bombardier, GlaxoWellcome, Piraeus Bank, and many others.

He is chairman of the British Standards Institute Facilities Management Committee and Chairman of the Global Facility Management Association, an international non-profit organization based in Brussels.

Working Buildings Middle East will provide a valuable opportunity for local and international companies to showcase their products and services to the increasingly important Middle East market.
