Junior brand opens stores in Sharjah Mega Mall and Lamcy Plaza
Dubai, December 9, 2004: Giordano, the region's leading apparel brand, has launched Giordano Junior, its kids casual wear brand aimed at children between three and 14 years. The range is designed for children at play, with a simple, sporty and fun attitude.
The clothing is available for boys and girls, as well as offering a range of unisex clothing in the forms of jackets and jump suits. Boys can choose from t-shirts, shorts, jeans, cargo pants, skaters and shirts, while girls can pick from t-shirts, shorts, jeans, skaters, tops and skirts. Giordano Junior also carries a range of accessories in the form of caps, belts, briefs, vests and tank tops.
Fazle Naqvi, Brand Manager for Giordano Junior, says of the new brand: "Giordano Junior was founded under the same principle of Giordano, simplicity. We wanted to offer parents an easy clothing solution for their children. Giordano Junior clothes are robust, colourful and easy to care for, three pre-requisites for parents. In addition, their cost-effectiveness won't hit parents in the wallet, especially when you consider that the years between three and 14 are perhaps the biggest growth spurt children go through."
Giordano Junior has launched in the UAE market with the opening of two stores, one in Sharjah's Mega Mall and one at Dubai's Lamcy Plaza. Not only are the clothing ideally suited for children, but the stores have been designed completely with the kids in mind. Each store encompasses a total child-friendly environment, such as ceiling swings, beanbags and toys, all placed to keep young ones busy while mums and dads shop for them.
"Giordano Junior is focused purely on children and even operates with its own brand mascot, a friendly cow. Through research we discovered that most children's stores do not provide adequate means to keep children occupied, while parents are shopping. Through our stores, parents get peace of mind, as their children can play safely while they stick to the task at hand," Naqvi stated.
Giordano Junior's first two stores have already proved popular with Dubai and Sharjah residents and the company is looking to expand with additional store openings in the new year.
"We will soon be announcing new locations for Giordano Junior once agreements have been signed. The UAE offers brand a significant choice of retail locations across the country and we are looking to benefit from both existing malls and new developments," continued Naqvi.
Giordano Junior is part of Giordano International and was established in 1998.
