Under the patronage of the German Consulate General in Jeddah, the Jeddah Hilton is proud to host the German Cultural Week from March 22nd to March 29thMarch 2008.

Courtesy of Juffali Automotive Co. Ltd, the Upper Lobby level of Jeddah Hilton displays a true replica of the Karl Benz "Patent Motorwagen" build in 1885 and is widely regarded as the World's first purpose-build automobile. It features a 954cc single cylinder four-stroke engine producing 1.5 horsepower at 400 rpm.

At the hotel's main entrance and as a stark contrast to the "Patent Motorwagen", Juffali Automotive Co. also displays the latest McLaren-Mercedes SLR cabriolet with a body made of 100% carbon fibre and a special racing Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM originally driven by Mika Hakkinen in the DTM racing series in Germany.

The Lower Lobby level of Jeddah Hilton features an exhibition "Beauty of the Red Sea" of stunning under-water photography of the Red Sea by German artist Mr. Udo Carsten.

Also located in the Lower Lobby, Jeddah Hilton's Al Safina Restaurant hosts visiting Chef Christian Koenig from the Hilton Munich City who prepares a daily sumptuous Lunch and Dinner Buffet of typical German Food Fare. His mouthwatering specialties include the traditional "Schnitzel" (breaded veal fillet), "Rindsrouladen" (braised Beef Rolls), "Sauerkraut" (marinated cabbage), "Kalbsbratwurst" (fried Veal Sausage) and "Kartoffelkloesse" (potato dumplings) to name only a few. The buffet also features a daily variety of German influenced Soups, Salads and a sumptuous cakes and desserts section. The daily Buffet is priced at SR 125+ for lunch and SR 155+ for Dinner both subject to 15% Service Charge.
