The added compliance capabilities ensure FutureCard's direct and indirect customers will benefit from the most advanced security and data-management practices

Dubai, UAE - October 01, 2013: FutureCard, UAE-based experts in the design, manufacture and customisation of all types of cards, from basic plastic to the most advanced smart cards on the market, today announced it has obtained Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCIDSS) certification.

Regarded as the most important security standard for the card payment industry, it includes a set of comprehensive requirements for security management, policies, procedures and other critical protective measures.

"Future Card has always been and remains committed to offering the most secure smart card processing solution in line with international standards," explains Ayhan Yalcintas, CEO, FutureCard. "We are proud that our production facilities, systems and other infrastructure meet the standards of PCIDSS," he added.

"It is important to state the difference between being PCI compliant and being PCIDSS certified. The former could just involve doing a self-assessment test; the latter is a rigorous evaluation by a testing agent, qualified by the PCI Council to assess compliance with the PCIDSS standard," he continued.

FutureCard's conformity demonstrates the commitment that the company has to information security at every level and confirms that the internal security programmes in place are comprehensive and follow best practices.

"Over the past few years we have expanded our business across the MENA region," said Yalcintas. "The international validation of our secure production not only enhances our credibility, it provides more assurance and clarity for customers evaluating the breadth and strength of our business. As a result we will grow even more by providing the most efficient, secure, and accurate smart card solutions," he added.
