New banking card personalisation machine means higher production capacity for the company.

Offering a more complete range of personalisation options, FutureCard -expert in the design, manufacture and customisation of all types of cards from basic plastic to the most advanced smart card - announces investment in Matica system.

Leveraging a strong technology portfolio and solid engineering assets, the technology that hails from Italy brings a new generation in card issuance systems that are capable of delivering production volumes of 1,200 fully personalized cards per hour and more.

For FutureCard that means a higher capacity for card production. The UAE-based company currently enlists the support of two personalisation machines that have a combined throughput of 2,000 cards per hour; Matica moves this number closer to 3,500.

Ayhan Yalcintas, Chief Executive Officer of FutureCard, commented: "As one of our machines nears the end of its life, we've added the new technology to pick up the pace and move even faster. Matica will add more flexibility in the personalisation process, and brings with it a host of new technology that our clients will soon benefit from."

He adds: "As demand increases each month, it was important to enhance our ability to deliver in a timely manner. The biggest benefit of this new investment is our higher capacity to bring card personalisation each month."

Matica supports all the functions for card issuance, including multiple contact and contactless smart card coding stations, magnetic stripe encoding, monochrome and colour printing, embossing, indent printing and label affixing.

With the company servicing thousands of customers across 80 countries, FutureCard relents in utilising the latest in technology to deliver innovative products to meet and exceed client demand.
