Dubai, 14 October 2008: Business leaders can learn leading-edge techniques in strategic management from new programs being launched in Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the coming few weeks (October 2008).

Knowing how to read internal and external strategic signals can set a company apart in a competitive environment. In the Strategy Program, award-winning presenters from Canada's Queen's School of Business will show how to set and execute the correct strategy and make it work successfully -- challenging conventional thinking and helping to take a company's strategy from old school to leading-edge.

Individuals in the Gulf Region's active business world benefit by learning the latest strategic tools and techniques, improving their ability to manage change and build commitment to new strategic directions. Organisations will gain advantage by introducing proven strategy development tools and benchmarking against best practices of leading companies.

"We challenge our participants to think about what their organisations need to do to be successful in the future -- and we help them find the answers," said Tom Anger, Executive Director, Queen's School of Business.

The three-day program is presented by Dr Elspeth Murray, Associate Professor of Strategy and Management Information systems, and Dr Peter Richardson, Professor of Strategic Management, both of Queen's School of Business.

Courses in Dubai are presented in partnership with Dubai International Finance Centre, and with CERT (Centre of Excellence for Applied Research and Training) in Abu Dhabi.

Queen's School of Business already provides business education direct to UAE companies as well as to government departments and the nation's Central Bank. A leader in business education, Queen's is consistently ranked as one of the top business schools in the world for both its executive education and its MBA programs.
