Fujitsu's Value4you program now includes the PRIMERGY TX200 S5 - an excellent choice for decentralized infrastructures
Dubai, September 15, 2009: Fujitsu Technology Solutions has included its latest tower server TX200 S5 into its Value4you program. From September, distributors across the Middle East will be able to buy this comprehensively equipped dual-socket tower server with a standard configuration at a very attractive price point. This means giving channel partners full access to the product from the distribution by next day delivery.
Says Chandan Mehta, Product Manager for Fujitsu Technology Solutions: "With our latest PRIMERGY TX200 S5 we offer especially to our SME customers in the region, versatility and performance at the right price. Channel partners can now benefit from the next-day availability at the distribution - at a price point that helps them not only to sell more but also maintain their margin."
Launched in June, the TX200 S5 is Fujitsu's latest dual socket server with a well balanced price performance ratio. It is the ideal choice for small offices and branch infrastructures which need dual processor performance, high availability and expandability as well as top manageability - remote or local. Usage scenarios include database solutions necessary in e-Business, ERP, office and CRM. On the other hand, the TX200 S5 feature set enables companies to make an excellent start into virtualization.
It integrates easily as an efficient email or web server and delivers high performance as a file, print or application server. Last, but not least, SME customers can configure the TX200 S5 with up to 16 2.5" hard disks, saving the costs of an external storage unit.
Based on the latest generation Intel® Nehalem platform with Tylersburg chipset and sporting up to 2 Intel Xeon® 5500 series processors, the new TX200 S5 delivers high processing power. Memory can be expanded up to 96GB DDR3 ECC memory (2 x 6 sockets); the TX200 S5 boasts a unique Fujitsu feature: the memory can be configured in 'hot-spare' mode. While two memory modules are in use, the third module immediately takes over in case one of the other modules should fail -an innovative feature, which saves the customer time, money and stress.
To make the TX200 S5 even more energy-efficient, Fujitsu has added a special hot-plug version of a power supply unit (PSU) which achieves up to 89 % efficiency, saving costs and lowering the environmental impact.
