Expert identifies people, processes & tools as key elements to improvement 'road map' to address critical project management issues in UAE

Dubai, 30th May 2007 - Project management is rapidly becoming a standard way of doing business within organisations. A considerable portion of a typical firm's time and effort is spent on projects, which are rapidly becoming the common tool for implementing business strategy. It is not only the preserve of major billion dollar development projects or a part of multi-national or government reorganisation plans.

Dubai-based ESI International a market leader in the provision of project management and business analysis training courses and seminars will hold a free breakfast seminar at the Crowne Plaza Dubai in Dubai on Monday 4th June 2007. The dedicated event, will address the strategic aims of project management and the key issues necessary to develop an improvement 'road map' applicable for any organisation.

Leading this seminar will be Raed S. Haddad, ESI Senior Vice President of Client Programs. His presentation entitled "Effective Project Management in High-Performing Organisations -- How to Build a Project Management Profession", will define high-performing organisations from a project management perspective. It will also summarise the current challenges and recommended solutions based on ESI's experience with Fortune 500 companies and government agencies.

"Today's business world is full of challenges that organisations in the UAE must overcome if they are to continue to be successful in one of the world's most competitive markets. Many business issues can be addressed by effectively implementing a comprehensive project management approach," said Haddad.

By using real life examples, Haddad will present a project management improvement "road map" focusing on three areas people, process and tools. At least one tool in each area will be identified that can be implemented back on the job immediately. Haddad will also outline a case study and highlight the lessons learned and key results that were realised during their journey to better project management capabilities.

The seminar will address specifics such as how to build a project management profession, best practices to implement project management, proven tools implemented by world-class organisations. The seminar will then be followed by a question and answer session.

"The objective of the seminar is to develop a proven "road map" that delegates can take away and establish project management as a core competency in their own companies. Every project should be an integral part and contribute towards an organisation's strategic business plan," added Haddad.

The breakfast seminars are part of a series of educational courses run by ESI that have been created for project managers and people involved in project work who seek a foundation in project management methodology and best practices. ESI cover a whole range of project management issues, such as planning and scope, risk management, scheduling, leadership and more.

Breakfast seminar attendees will be able to claim 1.5pdu's.
