Doha, 20 May 2013: Widam Food, Qatar's foremost meat provider, was recently recognized with The International Quality Award in Paris, France by The Global Trade Leaders' Club. The award is an addition to Widam Food's solid track record of success in the industry and follows the recent accreditations by ISO.
On the occasion, Mr. Ahmad Nasser Sraiya Al Kaabi, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Widam Food said: "This was a superb year for Widam Food. Following the recent announcement of our 2012 financial results which recorded a surge of 29% in net profits, we have achieved a number of outstanding accomplishments that strongly attest to our strictest compliance with global best practices in quality. This award represents our team's combined efforts into seeing Widam Food as a globally recognized organization in what we do."
The Global Trade Leaders' Club was created with the aim of establishing a union between companies who hold international prizes for their quality, prestige and business leadership in their respective sectors of activity and geographical locations. Membership to the Club means belonging to an international organisation of leading businesses, from 95 different countries, which promotes business relations between its members and generates important investments and business opportunities. Today, the Club counts 7,500 members, all of who are distinguished leaders in their fields.
Earlier in 2013, Widam Food bagged another global quality award by Geneve's BID (Business Initiative Directions) for the Platinum Category of Century International Quality Era. In 2012, the company received the 16th International Star for Quality in Leadership Convention in France adding another accolade to four other recognitions from MLA Australia.
