- The UK's second largest airline at London Heathrow-

Set for take off in early 2008 is the new bmi route from Dammam to London Heathrow. Travellers can now book their flights for this new route. The Dammam to London Heathrow route is one of 19 new routes that form part of the largest ever expansion programme for bmi.

The new Dammam service will operate three times a week on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. This route is expected to build on the success of flights to bmi's existing Saudi destinations - Riyadh, which launched in September 2005, and Jeddah in April 2006.   

Commenting on the new route, bmi CEO, Nigel Turner said, "We have just introduced 17 new destinations from Heathrow at the start of the winter timetable and are already adding new destinations for 2008. This is the biggest expansion we have ever taken and we are delighted that Dammam will be part of this advancement. Travel is the lifeblood of the modern economy and air travel in particular plays a vital part, the route from Dammam to London Heathrow will help drive this forward, fostering stronger relations between the UK and the Middle Eastern region."
