Capitalising on its recent Middle East launch, Eyeleds, the innovative new 'flat' LED lighting systems for flooring, has introduced its Outdoor Pro Range to the market. Based on the same technology as its indoor counterparts, the Outdoor Pro provides unique lighting solutions for the garden architecture business.
Eyeleds Outdoor, a round fitting, contains three high-quality SMD LEDs and is available in the usual white, blue and amber coloured lights. The product distinguishes itself through its unique and professional installation, which conforms to all standards, and the economically advantageous and durable energy efficient LED light sources.
The Outdoor Pro range is ideally suited to external use because of its extremely solid construction through the use of high-quality corrosion and UV resistant materials. The product, which is water resistant and dust proof, can also be used in driveways and can withstand the pressure of continuous vehicular use.
"For the flooring professional it is important to know that there are strict standards for lighting. All Eyeleds' fittings meet the most recent standard requirements," said Ube Kodde, Global Sales Manager, Eyeleds. "It has become obligatory for indoor and outdoor floors to meet the stringent IP67 rating for lighting fittings.
"Furthermore, Eyeleds are fitted with a scratch resistant UV-stable cover and, due to their 6.5mm fitting depth, can be built into virtually any floor."
The light sources (12V, 0.3W and 25 mA) have an average life span of 100,000 hours. Eyeleds is so convinced of the quality of its product, that it offers a product warranty of three years.
"In The Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland, the Eyeleds innovation was recently put in the spotlight on TV by a number of interior restyling programs," said Kodde. "They paid particular attention to the simplicity, quality and design of the Eyeleds system. As a result, Eyeleds Outdoor is a high-quality product for both flooring professionals and design lovers, and it is easy to use and install.

'flat' LED system
The patented 'flat' LED system is the latest development in architectural and decorative indoor and outdoor lighting. With flat cable installation, no expensive trunking is required, and the 12v operating system can be installed in situ with carpet, ceramic, stone, quartz and wood laminate flooring, and also in wall installations and plaster. The patented 'snap-in, snap-out' design also makes it suitable to temporary installations for use in exhibitions, events and displays. A 40 LED Eyeleds chain (50 linear metres long) can be run from a single 12volt transformer.
Eyeleds have been accredited by ISO and are the only 'flat' LED lighting to receive the German VDE certification, and presently come in three distinct styles; round, square and an 'arrowed' guide LED - the latter predominantly being used in emergency and safety lighting to highlight escape routes and exitd.
