Dubai, June 25, 2007: Etisalat Academy announced today the launch of the season of activities in the community with the opening of its Kids Summer Program eSummer 2007, to be held during the period July 1 - August 2.

The program, which is aimed for children that are in the ages from 6 to 12 years, will be held in separate groups for boys and girls. It is full of academic initiatives and activities aimed at supporting the culture of the UAE as well as recreational, sporting and social events creating a fun filled environment for learning. Environmental, health, and traffic safety are some of the programs that will support children's health, social, behavioral and environmental habits through tools such as photos, publications, videos. eSummer will also hold various competitions challenging there physical and mental skills, which is popular and successful as in previous years. In collaboration with the Ministry of Social Affairs, this year, there will be more focus on children with special needs. The children will benefit and have full access to all the facilities that the Academy has to offer, such as the swimming pools, playgrounds, Library, computer labs, and Cinema.

Dr. Doaa Fares, General Manager, Etisalat Academy, said: "Organizing the children's eSummer program  is to allow the children to benefit from an ideal environment for learning by combining, education and recreation so as to achieve aspirations set forth by the families of the children."

Ahmed Bin Ali, Vice-President Corporate Communications Etisalat, said: "The eSummer program organized by Etisalat Academy is an extension of Etisalat's UAE social responsibility, where the extended care for the children of our community is fulfilled through cultural and recreational programs."

The daily activities will include learning the basics of using a PC and art classes in painting, coloring, design and crafts. Also on offer are sports training sessions in swimming, Karate, Judo, basketball, volleyball, billiards, and table tennis. Transportation will be made available for the children to and from the Academy's premises including light snacks.
