From caller tunes to Islamic content, a library of Arabic films, 8 hours of rewindable television content, and more, customers can enjoy Ramadan as and how they want, wherever they are.

Ramadan content on your mobile

By simply calling *111# from their du mobile, customers have access to a menu of Ramadan content. The content includes prayer times, daily Duaa, Holy Qura'an audio recorded by Sheikh Abdulrahman Al Sudeis and Sheikh Souod Al Shraim, Ramadan caller tunes, Ramadan health tips, information about Eid Al Fitr, Islamic Azkar, Ramadan kitchen recipe videos, information on herbal therapy, and Duaa videos recorded by Sheikh Al Meshari Afasy.

Tafseer Al Qura'an

Customers can listen to recordings of Sora and Aaya, excerpts from the Holy Qura'an, followed by tafseer - explanations of the recitation. To access this service, customers can call 156 then press 4, after which they can choose the Sora or Aaya of their choice. This service is charged at AED 0.30 per minute.

du Special Ramadan Tune

To enjoy the new Ramadan nasheed sung by young Emirati talent Abdulaziz AlRamsi, customers can send "CT Ramadan 1" to 1560 to set Futoor nasheed (Part 1) as their caller tune or "CT Ramadan 2 "to 1560 to set Futoor nasheed (Part 2) as their caller tune or alternatively call 156 and press 1 twice  for Specials and then press 1 for Ramadan tunes.

The Futoor nasheed will be broadcasted on all Abu Dhabi Media Radio and TV channels before and after Iftar during each day in Ramadan. The Futoor nasheed has been conceptualized by Juma Al Sahli, Deputy Director General of Abu Dhabi TV. Key team members of this project included Essa Kayed as the Producer, Nabeel Hamza as the Director and Abdulaziz AlAkaidi as the writer.

Ramadan caller tunes

Live the spirit of the Holy Month of Ramadan all day long and share it with everyone who calls you, with Ramadan-specific Islamic caller tunes. To access du's selection of Ramadan-themed caller tunes, customers can call 156 then press 1. The caller tune library includes duaa, anasheed, monajat, azqar, Ramadan advices and more. Customers can subscribe to the caller tunes service for a monthly fee of AED 5 and AED 5 one time fee per caller tune.

Ramadan on du TV

du TV customers can enjoy a wide variety of Arabic titles for free, available through Video on Demand. To access more than 100 Arabic film titles, customers need only visit the Movies on Demand section of the du TV Video on Demand menu. All free Arabic films are available in the special offers folder.

Customers can also be assured that they can catch up on their favourite television shows, with the ability to rewind up to 8 hours of live TV on more than 80 du TV channels - including those showing the 2014 FIFA World Cup matches. During Ramadan, visitors to Ramadan Majlis at Madinat Jumeirah can experience the full suite of du TV services at their leisure with family and friends.
