Dubai - Empower, the world's largest district cooling services provider, has been selected as a Platinum Elite Service Customer by Trane, the U.S.-basedIngersoll Rand subsidiary that provides heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems worldwide. The honour was received by H.E. Ahmad Bin Shafar, the CEO of Empower, presented by Dave Regnery, the President of Trane -North America and EMEA region, during a function held at Empower's Head Office.
"This award demonstrates a deep and meaningful relationship between two companies that have been closely associated with the nuts and bolts of Dubai's utilities system," said Bin Shafar. "Over the last decade, this business relationship has turned into a true partnership, and is a great example of how UAE entities forming lasting collaborations with their global peers."
Empower has worked with Trane since 2004. Throughout the last 10 years, Trane has supplied millions' worth of chillers to Empower's district cooling systems, resulting in capacity for facilities across Dubai, including Empower plants in DHCC, Palm Jumeirah, JBR, DIFC,and Discovery Gardens.
"At Empower, we have introduced energy-efficient cooling systems to suit the unique environment and market dynamics of the UAE," continued Bin Shafar. "We deeply value our long-standing relationship with Trane, as they understand the need to develop products to suit the arid, desert climate of this region."
During the event, Empower and Trane discussed their future cooperation in Research and Development. Both entities will jointly organize expert trainings in the field of chiller technology. Additionally, Trane officials invited H.E. Ahmad Bin Shafar to Trane's manufacturing facilities in the United States of America, to see new facilities and innovative new ECTV line of Centrifugal Water Chillers recently launched by Trane.
