Dubai Investments subsidiary's entire production already booked until second quarter of 2006
Dubai, United Arab Emirates - Emirates Building System (EBS), a Dubai Investment subsidiary which specializes in intricate steel structures, is currently implementing a major expansion programme to double its annual production capacity to more than 50,000 metric tonnes a year, which will be completed by November this year.
Mr. Khalid Kalban, Chairman and CEO, Dubai Investments, said: "The current expansion plan has become essential following the massive order book position. In fact, our entire production has been exclusively booked till the second quarter of 2006. We are sure this capacity expansion will bring more benefits to the company apart from relieving the pressure on the order book position."
"The expansion programme, under which state-of-the-art machinery from Europe is being installed will cost about AED50 million. Once completed, the company will be in a commanding position to take advantage of the ongoing development projects in and around the region," Mr. Kalban added.
Mr. Samir Akra, General Manager, EBS said, "EBS has already signed up several major projects in the UAE, rest of the GCC and neighboring countries. It has sales offices in six countries and has certified builders in 12 countries. The capacity expansion will enable the company establish itself as a major player in the region and will lead to undertaking more projects apart from the ongoing ones".
The EBS plant, located in Dubai Investments Park, Jebel Ali, manufactures, sells and erects steel structures of international quality.
The company has a good track-record and the necessary expertise in handling projects such as industrial structures, medium and high-rise buildings, towers, hangars and pre-engineered structures.
EBS offers complete customized project engineering and the flexibility in concept and fabrication as it has a broad range of machinery available under one roof. This could be shipped to anywhere in the world. Other advantages the company offers include design economy & price competitiveness and erection service or assistance through direct support or through EBS network of builders.
