A day to celebrate Cisco graduates of Effat College and the social responsibility of Dallah AlBarakah.

Tuesday 25 November 2008 Marks the congregation of the first 63 students and 36 trainees graduated from Cisco Networking Academy at Effat College in Jeddah. The ceremony was held at the College and was attended by around one hundred and fifty guests including Effat students, staff and members from other trainings institutes. Among the guests were: General Manager of Social Responsibility Program at Dallah AlBarakah, Dr. Nadia Ba Ishen, Dean of Sabaa' University, Dr. Areej Dawood, and Dr. May Fadel and Ietmad Fadel, from the IT department at King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah.

The ceremony was commenced with a speech by the Dean of Effat College, Dr. Haifa Jamal Al-Lail, who said, "This graduation signified that today, Saudi women are more than ever prepared and qualified to join the job market and adapt to its changes." As of today, 664 students and trainers, from both genders, are being trained at Cisco Academy of Effat College. The dean also expressed her gratitude to Dallah AlBarakah for granting six full scholarships to Effat Cisco trainees.

Dr. Ba Ishen, in her speech, briefed on the ongoing role and obligation of Dallah AlBarakah's social responsibility program towards developing and improving the community's cultural, educational, economic and social standard. She also added, "Our collaboration with Effat College plays a distinguished role in facilitating academic and technical training programs for the community.  We are proud of what we offer these graduates and looking forward to more and insightful contributions to community." Cisco Networking Academy coordinator at Effat College, Mrs. Akila Sarirete, said that the academy equips students and trainees with expertise knowledge and internationally recognized certificates from Cisco, which would further help them in their careers.

The guests were thrilled by the success story of Iman Janbi, the graduate of Effat College who was granted a one-year scholarship from Cisco to study in Holland. In her presentation, Janbi emphasised that what Effat College offered her during her undergraduate studies has increased her chance to be an eligible candidate for Cisco's job opportunities and academic scholarships.
