Overseas educational businesses arrive en masse to make GESS 2011 the biggest event yet

UAE, 5 May 2011 - As the fourth edition of the Gulf Educational Supplies & Solutions show (GESS) opened its doors, the 250 plus educational providers from across the world who are exhibiting at the show settled down to the important business of showcasing the latest innovations and solutions in the sector.

In conjunction with the Global Education Forum (GEF), and held in partnership with the Ministry of Education and F&E, this year's GESS 2011 has proudly welcomed an extensive range of new product launches, practical advice and inspirational ideas from exhibitors spanning 30 countries from around the globe.

Among those making an eagerly-anticipated return visit to GESS after enjoying a successful event in 2010 are Microsoft, EduTech, SMART, Al Mazroui Medical & Chemical Supplies, Promethean and Kidz Inc. Testament to the importance of educational investment across the region, this year's show also sees many organisations attending for the very first time.  These include:

John Wiley & Sons Ltd, who have over 200 years experience in publishing and will present WileyPLUS at GESS, one of the most successful e-learning solutions ever created;

Mexus Education, an innovation company from India which focusing on promoting learning through technology-based platforms like multimedia DVDs, motion films and interactive tools

National Instruments, which transform the way engineers and scientists around the world design, prototype, and deploy systems and provides flexible software and modular hardware to enhance engineering and science education worldwide.

Oxford University Press, which is part of the iconic learning institution and the largest university press in the World;

Others include Panasonic, Specialist Schools & Academies, Yas Marina Circuit and Finpro, which is representing a collection of Finnish educational suppliers and solutions.

Meanwhile, Arab Business Machine, Apple Authorised Distributor for the Middle East, is among several exhibitors making a much welcomed return to GESS. It is displaying a range of technology-based products to aid in-school learning, as well as giving visitors the chance to win one of six free iPads during the show.
