Siemens Home and Office Communication Devices has launched a new cordless phone -the Gigaset SL375 (with an integrated answering machine). The compact exterior in black and chrome, meets the highest design and ergonomics standards while also combines outstanding functionality and technology. New Gigaset QuickSync software is also available for download over the Internet, and automatically synchronizes handset and PC contacts. Furthermore, Bluetooth support enables users to connect the phone to a Bluetooth enabled headset or PC.
At 114 mm long, 46.5 mm wide and 22.6 mm thick, the Gigaset SL375 is one of the smallest cordless phone in the Gigaset portfolio. It is no larger than a modern mobile phone and therefore makes the ideal constant companion within the home.
Inside the attractively designed handset is a raft of top-class technology. No longer is Bluetooth the exclusive preserve of mobile phone users: the Gigaset SL375 delivers hands-free, cordless telephony using a Bluetooth headset.
Siemens' new Gigaset QuickSync software automatically synchronizes handset and PC contacts and is compatible with Microsoft Outlook 2003, Outlook Express and Windows Vista. It enables users to quickly and easily transfer information and files such as Picture CLIP's and screensavers, and is straightforward to install and easy to use. Contact data can be transferred as vCards and there is room for 250 addresses, including three telephone numbers, an e-mail address and the contact's birthday. Picture CLIP enables pictures to be assigned to contacts so that photos of known callers can be displayed on the handset's large, high-resolution color display.
In terms of functionality, the combined icon/text menu on the Gigaset SL375 is simple to use thanks to the convenient 5-way navigation control. The phone's extensive features also include practical hands-free operation, a vibration alarm, SMS functionality, polyphonic ringtones and organizer functions, including a calendar. The Gigaset SL375 also includes a high-performance answering machine that records up to 40 minutes of messages. Furthermore, users that want to have several phones in the home can pair up to six handsets with the base station.
The outstanding appearance of the Gigaset SL375 has already been recognized: the phone has been awarded the iF Design Prize. The product comes with a separate chrome charger cradle that enables the Gigaset SL375 to be placed anywhere in the home.
ECO Dect technology saves power bills
Thanks to Siemens' new ECO-DECT technology, and electricity saving supply units, Gigaset SL 375, customers can expect to use up to 60% less energy in comparison to conventional power supplies. Also, the base station transmitting power is adjustable, and when the phone is docked in the base station, the transmitting power is reduced to almost zero. Furthermore, when multiple handsets are used (up to six additional handsets can be used at any one time), users can manually reduce the transmitting power, which in turn reduces the phone's indoor range by approximately 25 to 30 meters.
The Gigaset SL375 are now in the region and available in Dubai at Betterlife Showrooms, Sharaf DG, Carrefour, Jackys Electronics, LULU, E- Max, Plugins and other leading hypermarkets. Like all ECO DECT products SL 375 also has a one-year regional warranty.
