The organisers of Dubai Opera Ball today announced their appreciation to the sponsors of the Dubai Opera Ball, which will be held at Madinat Jumeirah on Thursday 16 March 2006.
Ms Mahshid Amir-Mokri, the driving force behind bringing this glittering occasion filled with tradition and beauty to the region, said, "We could not have made this event happen without considerable support from Emirates Airline, Jumeirah Madinat Jumeirah and the Austrian companies Swarovski, Julius Meinl and Charles Delon Watches.
Ms Amir-Mokri continued, "Everyone has been wonderful and so supportive. Emirates Airline is the official carrier for all the Austrian artists taking part in the occasion: that means transporting 40 debutantes, the choreographer, a 24-piece orchestra and conductor, a ballet corps of six from the Vienna Opera Ballet School, and sopranos. And it is not just the people: there is the equipment, clothes, tiaras, musical instruments and and and! Transporting so many people and luggage is no mean feat".
Ms Amir-Mokri added, "We are also delighted that Swarovski, will be supplying all 60 crystal tiaras for the debutantes, which for the very first time, they will be allowed to keep. The tiaras will be the same as those worn in Vienna, specially created for the 50th anniversary ball.
"Charles Delon - a watch brand of international repute, will be giving debutantes - ladies and young gentlemen, a wonderful keepsake - a limited edition Opera Ball watch. The gentleman's watch reflects understated elegance while the lady's watch features 196 Swarovski crystals - definitely "bling"!
"Julius Meinl will be providing authentic Viennese coffee for the enjoyment of ball guests.
"Dotzauer will add additional sparkle with their magnificent chandeliers, which were specially made for this glamorous event."
