Vendors, software involved in the project named

The Statistics Center at Dubai Municipality has announced the names of vendors, software and technical solutions involved in implementing EHSA, the Centralized Statistical Information System project which is considered as one of the leading projects of its type.
This was announced by Saeed Ibrahim AbdulRahman, Head of Statistical Database Automation Section at DM Statistics Centre, in a press conference on Tuesday which was attended by representatives of leading IT companies evolved in the project which will provide the newest technology using (ETL).
Computer giant IBM is taking part in this national project by implementing their powerful tools, web sphere Ascential. These tools are to be used for Data Cleansing and Categorizing where it shall meet statistical standards, approved by the Statistics Center at DM and word wide.
According to Mr. AbdulRahman, the Statistical Information System will cover various features and many aspects such as:
Gather common data which is provided by many resources in one plate to be presented for better use.
All sort of data are to be stored in a one huge data warehouse Database empowered by Oracle 10g technology, characterized with its high storage capability and fast query features.
All information is to be published on the internet allowing business users and others for proper access.
Reports shall be generated using COGNOS 8 tools that provide direct reporting features and business intelligent ones with 'dash Board' style.
EHSA or Centralised Statistical Information System is regarded as the largest project and the strategic plan for the statistics center is implemented in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President & Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
