29 January 2013 - The Dubai Lynx International Festival of Creativity has announced the introduction of a new student competition and award for 2013 in partnership with Masar Printing & Publishing. The Dubai Lynx Masar Creative Award for Print, which launches Monday 4 February as a Print competition, will offer an exciting platform that will propel talented students into the creative spotlight.   

Offering a fantastic opportunity to full-time university students across the Middle East and North Africa region, the competition invites students to design a Poster to fit the brief given by a designated charity. The brief will be available online from 4 February at www.dubailynx.com from which point competitors will have until 14 February to design, create and submit their Poster. All entries will be judged during the Festival by the official Dubai Lynx jury. The winner will then be revealed and presented with their prize, courtesy of Masar Printing & Publishing, during the Dubai Lynx Awards which takes place on the evening of 13 March.

Additionally, all entries into the student competition will be on display throughout the event in a special exhibition at the Madinat Jumeirah, home to the Festival.  

Countries eligible to enter the competition are: Afghanistan, Algeria, Bahrain, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Ghana, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Kenya, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Nigeria, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, UAE, West Bank & Gaza, Western Sahara, Yemen. Any students wishing to attend Dubai Lynx 2013 can take advantage of the special student package which offers a discounted package to students aged 23 and under, while providing access to all Festival activities including two and a half days of seminars, workshops, shortlist exhibitions and networking.
