Majed Al Suwaidi, Director Business Development, Dubai Internet City and Dubai Outsource Zone said: "Internet, multimedia and hardware have now come together on one platform providing immense opportunities for innovative products to be launched and applications to be developed. Such kind of developments have also accelerated the development of new start-ups, fostered entrepreneurships, driven technology innovation and contributed to shaping the ICT ecosystem.

"Technology innovators have a plethora of opportunities to explore and launch new ideas in the region. The announcement of Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed Innovation Center In5 last year was a big step from Dubai Internet City to provide a new platform for entrepreneurs in the country. Tbreak Developers Conference is such an event bringing together these young minds and new concepts on one platform."

Abbas Jaffar Ali, publisher of Tbreak.com added: "As one of the largest websites in the region, we keep getting code from local developers and questions from people wanting to find out more about where they can learn how to code. With TDC, we thought of doing something to give back to the community by networking platform providers and the individuals who want to be a part of this industry.

"We worked with companies like RIM and Nokia and approached local colleges and individual developers to put together an event like TDC. With the help of Dubai Internet City, we were able to make this happen. "

Universities and institutions currently supporting the Tbreak Developers Conference include Middlesex University Dubai, University of Wollongong in Dubai, American College of Dubai, and SAE Institute.

The Tbreak Developers Conference is free to attend for developers, students, teachers, project managers, media, bloggers and anyone involved in the web, gaming or mobile industry. Registrations are open at www.tbreak.com/tdc
