The deluxe five star Dubai International Hotel (DIH) is located on the Arrivals level of Sheikh Rashid Terminal consisting of 88 beautifully appointed rooms. Dubai International Hotel recognized the benefits of using document management system within the property and become the first in hospitality industry in UAE to select Laserfiche.

Solutions middle east implemented and delivered an efficient system with the directive to improve archiving procedures  and  provide electronic images for use to manage the various documents like hardcopy paper, fax, and email, the other electronic documents, and reports generated from existing software applications within the various departments. The Hotel recognized that Laserfiche is a fully scalable, state of the art, Document Management System capable of meeting the long-term enterprise-wide needs while allowing a multi-phase approach for full implementation of the system.

The implementation  is completed in a phased manner  in Human resources, F & B  and  Quality Departments initially. Further, this software will be extended to other departments like Front office, Back office, Finance and Purchasing in the second second phase.

The usage of Laserfiche in these departments is intended to store, retrieve and distribute hardcopy files like employee record files of about 700 current employees, including contract documents, Visa documents, memos, SOP's, Working Procedures, Quality Auditing, ISO, HACCP documents. The other electronic documents like Emails, MS Word, Excel, PDF are also stored in the system. The documents are stored digitally in a highly secure environment  and can be retrieved fast within seconds using the powerful search engine and distributed quickly by email, fax and print. The solution will pay for itself (ROI) in a very short time by saving the hotel potential costs as well as provide several intangible benefits  as listed below.
