SENIOR SPEAKERS FROM THE GOVERNMENT AND PRIVATE SECTORS PROVIDE IN-SIGHT ON DUBAI DEVELOPMENTS
The Training Solutions division at the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) hosted a one-day forum under the name Dubai Information Update 2005 today (April 24th, 2005) at the Jumeirah Beach Conference Centre.
The main objective of the forum, which was open to Dubai Tour Guides, Hotel General Managers, Concierge and Guest Relations staff, Human Resource and Training Managers of Dubai hotels, was to equip industry partners with the latest information relating to Dubai product.
Senior Trainer DTCM Ms. Michelle Sabti said, "Whether a Dubai tour guide, concierge or guest relations staff member, the key skills required of this person is to be able to gather and impart the most accurate, updated information to the Dubai visitor. And this is what this forum was precisely aimed at."
The full day programme saw senior speakers from both the government and private sectors including Executive Director Dubai Property Group Mr. Adel Lootah, Chief Executive Ski Dubai - Mall of the Emirates Mr. Phil Taylor, Director of Finance Dubai Festival City Mr. Marwan Shehadeh and Director of Business Development and Marketing Resort Madinat Jumeirah Mr. Brett Armitage among others provide participants with a first hand in-sight into many of the latest Dubai developments.
"The relationship we have with our industry partners is paramount to DTCM's continued success and the knowledge gained by attending this forum will further enhance the superior service offered to our Dubai visitors," she added.
The Training Solutions section at the DTCM has been consistently managing a variety of information based learning programmes to the tourism and hospitality industry.
