October 2 event will highlight the importance of integrating sustainable practices in business strategies

Dubai, UAE: The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Centre for Responsible Business will be holding its latest Dubai Dialogue: Sustainability Matters entitled Creating Shared Value through Strategic CSR at its headquarters in Dubai on Wednesday, October 2.

Held for the fifth year, this Dubai Dialogue will focus on how strategic CSR and Sustainability can drive value creation and innovation. The high level one-day event will feature case studies on some of the most innovative and value creating CSR and Sustainability practices.

Industry leaders from ABB Group, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Hewlett-Packard Company, Veolia Environment, Schneider Electric, FSG's Shared Value Initiative, among others, will provide insights on how they identify strategic new market opportunities that value both economic and societal development, and how they design, integrate, measure, and communicate as part of their overall business strategy.

Dubai Dialogue, which is considered one of the largest sustainability conferences in the region, will provide a platform for business leaders from the UAE's private sector looking to integrate CSR and sustainability into their strategies and daily business processes. It aims to add to the participants' knowledge and resources to bring more clarity and direction to the application of CSR in their organisations.

The conference will provide an ideal venue for the participants to discuss best practices, and challenges, in shifting to responsible business. It will also share best practices in change leadership that will help businesses to successfully integrate and embed new CSR and sustainability into the culture of the organisation.

It will also showcase real-world experiences from UAE based companies that are leading the way in integrating CSR into their strategy and culture while also identifying alternative ways to help businesses continue to move forward with their sustainability agendas. Participants will leave inspired, better networked, and with new ideas and strategies for integrating CSR and Sustainability into their businesses.

Since its launch, this annual conference has been attracting a large number of company representatives as it brings in cutting-edge thinking into the region and facilitates learning and debate amongst practitioners and business leaders through important topics on CSR and Sustainability issues.

A Dubai Chamber initiative, the Centre for Responsible Business (CRB) was formed in 2004 for promoting Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the UAE.  The Centre assists Dubai businesses in applying responsible practices and encourages them to enhance their performance and competitive advantage.
