The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has recognized excellence in the event management profession by sponsoring the Best Event Award at the International Convention for Event Organisers and Destination Management Professionals, Festivale 2006 held from April 23-25 at the Al Murooj Rotana Hotel.
The winner of the award was Mr. Fadi Nacouzi, Park Manager, Dreamland Aqua Park, Umm Al Quwain for his event campaign and unique message that touched the pulse of a large target audience.
The International Convention for Event Organisers and Destination Management Professionals, Festivale 2006 is one of the world's leading events for the international community of event professionals and the only dedicated conference for the industry in the region. Following the exceptional success of last year's event, organisers IIR Middle East have enhanced the event to engage a larger audience.
Festivale 2006 featured a highly impressive line-up of speakers with a wealth of regional and global experience.

The Festivale 2006 is one of the world's leading events for the international community of event professionals and the only dedicated conference for the industry in the region.
This year, the Festivale Award, has been introduced to recognise excellence in the event management profession, a jury of industry professionals selecting the Best Event Campaign. "The Festivale Award has rated events across a wide range of criteria," said Jackie Wilks, Director, Festivale 2006.
"The winning campaign was the one that went beyond technical professionalism - it will also have succeeded in reaching out and touching the hearts and minds of the target audience through a vigorous, concerted effort that was energetically pursued......an event that clearly surpassed all others in excellence, achievement and quality," he added.
