Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment participates for the first time
123 Dubai Co-Participants for the five -Day fair
Dubai, 3 March, 2013: The International Tourism Bourse (ITB-2013), which opens in Berlin on March 6, will see Dubai's strongest presence, headed by Helal Almarri, Director General of DTCM with the participation of 123 government and private sector organizations under the umbrella of the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).
This will be Dubai's participation in the world's largest travel trade fair with an increase of 7 per cent comparing to last year. Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment (DEPE), an affiliate of DTCM will be participating at ITB Berlin 2013, for the first time to promote its portfolio of major events globally this year.
With Dubai bidding to host World Expo 2020, official delegation will participate to promote and support Dubai Expo 2020.
The delegation will also include senior government officials representing the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, Dubai Convention and Events Bureau, Dubai Cruise Tourism, Overseas Promotions and Inward Missions, Media & Advertising and Media Relations.

Details about the DTCM's participation in the five-day show were announced at a pre-fair meeting held at the Millennium Plaza Hotel attended by Abdulla Bin Suwaidan, Deputy Director, Inward Missions, Asma Mohammed Ali, Head of Region East & West Europe, Overseas Promotions and Inward Missions and some representatives and participants of ITB Berlin 2013.
During the meeting, Abdulla stressed out the importance of the German market, referring to the last year nearly 315 thousand Germans visitors stayed in Dubai hotels with an increase of 14 per cent from the previous year, whereas, Asma gave a comprehensive presentation on our participation at ITB.
DTCM will highlight many activities during the five day fair including "Hello Dubai" campaign in cooperation with Emirate Airline, Dubai Green Festival which will be launched in April, the Dubai Events & Promotions Establishment/Dubai Events Calendar (DEPE) and their activities throughout the year, various sport events and facilities (including the culmination of the European golfing calendar) and Dubai Medical Tourism.
With more than 170,000 visitors, among these 113,000 trade visitors, and 11,000 represented companies from 180 countries ITB Berlin is the leading B2B-Platform of all tourism industry offers.
