Mandate to include Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing works at project which is part of Jumeirah Lake Towers Development
Dubai - Drake & Scull International, the region's leading Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Contractors, has won an AED40 million contract at the Indigo Tower, which is a part of the prestigious Jumeirah Lake Towers Development.
Strategically located between the fifth and sixth interchange on Sheikh Zayed Road, Indigo Tower is coming up near the Emirates Golf Club, The Montgomerie. The Tower is poised to be a prominent attraction on Dubai's renowned skyline with proximity to Dubai's other landmarks that include the Burj Al Arab and the Palm Jumeirah.
The residential part of the Indigo Tower comprises 272 apartments -- a mix of spacious studio, one, two, three-bedroom apartments and duplex penthouses. The commercial part of the Tower consists of 68 offices over eight levels.
Commenting on the prestigious contract, Luay Khdair, Business Development Engineer, Drake and Scull International, said: "The Indigo Tower project is very prestigious and important for Drake & Scull, keeping in view its magnitude and scope. Drake & Scull's scope of work at the Indigo Tower includes supply, installation, test and commission of the plumbing and drainage system, sanitary fixture, air-conditioning and ventilation, fire-fighting, electrical power, lighting control and dimming, light fittings, emergency and fire alarm, central battery, voice and data, public address, access control, CCTV monitoring, video intercom, SMATV, BMS, lightning protection systems and related works.
The Tower is designed by the internationally renowned architects WS Atkins (of the Burj Al Arab fame) who are also the MEP consultants while the main contractor for the project is Al Rostamani Pegel LLC. The owner is Jumeirah Properties Investment Ltd.
Drake and Scull International has underlined its presence in the region since its inception in 1964.
