United Arab Emirates - Dubai 10 July: Dr.Gouher Ahmed, PhD, PMP, Associate Professor in the College of Business Studies in Al Ghurair University has presented his research paper "Bottom of Pyramid Business Strategy: India and UAE Cases" at the IJAS International Conference , held in Harvard University, USA.
Dr.Gouher Ahmed Said : the Multi-National Corporations can lift the World's poor with the per capita income of less than 1500 $US around two-third or 4 billion population by investing at the Bottom of the Pyramid and lifting billions of people out of poverty and desperation, averting the social decay, political chaos, terrorism, and environmental meltdown".
Multi-National Corporations can tap rural population by collaborating with NGOs;and now a days, the poor people are becoming aware of many products and aspiring to share the benefits. So, MNCs can create products in a bulk and sell cheap products to the rural population". He added
He stressed that 4 billion populations is a huge untapped market for growth and profit for MNCs including the poorest of the poor 1 billion people or one-sixth of humanity with a per capita income of 1$ a day .
Dr.Gouher Ahmed thanked Al Ghurair University, to encourage them to participate in such conferences which held globally and internationally because of its large and essential role in promoting initiatives, contributions and constructive ideas in the advancement of various fields.
