December 17, 2008- Dubai, UAE- Dollar Rent A Car and Thrifty Car Rental, subsidiaries of Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Inc. (NYSE: DTG), today announced the opening of in-terminal location in Dubai International Airport terminal 3, servicing all Emirate flights.

In addition to the new terminal 3 opening, Both DOLLAR® and Thrifty launched the frequent flyer partnership with the Emirates Skywards program, offering 1,000 bonus miles on rentals of any car type rented for three days or longer. The bonus offer is available from now through December 31, 2008 when consumers make an advance reservation using promotional code EK1K.
The 1,000 bonus miles are in addition to the regular award structures of Emirates with DOLLAR and Thrifty, available at all DOLLAR and Thrifty locations worldwide:
Dollar Rent A Car
- 500 miles per transaction on rentals of 29 days or less
- 1,000 miles per transaction on rentals of 30 days or more
Thrifty Car Rental
- 500 miles per transaction for rentals outside of the United Arab Emirates (UAE)
- For rentals in the UAE, Thrifty will award 500 miles on rentals of 1-2 days in length; 750 miles for rentals of 3-4 days; and 1,000 miles for rentals of five days or more on the Basic Blue Skywards Card. For Silver & Gold Card holders the miles awarded are more.
Emirates flys to 32 online destinations from Emirates Terminal 3. GCC/Middle East: Amman, Bahrain, Beirut, Damascus, Dhahran, Doha, Jeddah, Kuwait, Muscat, Riyadh, Sana'a and Tehran.
Africa: Abidjan, Accra, Addis Ababa, Cairo, Cape Town, Casablanca, Dar es Salaam, Entebbe, Johannesburg, Khartoum, Lagos, Mauritius, Nairobi, Seychelles, Tripoli and Tunisia.
