Easy navigation and accessibility for sports fans

Doha, 30 September 2006: The 15th Asian Games Doha 2006 ticketing website has been freshened for easier navigation and accessibility following the global launch of the second phase of tickets last week.

The ticketing website with new search criteria is now also in Arabic and English languages. It has been developed by DAGOC Ticketing Team with the collaboration of the Ticket System Provider Ssangyong / Ticketlink.

The website is accessed from www.doha-2006.com by clicking on "Buy your Tickets" button located on the right side of the home page. The fresh-look website's approach is to give customers detailed information on ticket sales and the sporting events they would like to attend.

It also allows users who rush to book their tickets to pick a preferred seating section in Khalifa Stadium for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies. Customers will also be able to check and see where they will be sitting during the Ceremonies.

The main website (www.doha-2006.com) has buttons next to every sport. For instance if a user is reading about Diving event, a button next to the event has "Buy Now, Diving Tickets". On clicking this, it will send the user to the Official Ticketing website to give the user the ability to buy tickets for diving.

A few things have been added since the Phase 1 launch of the ticketing website on 28 May with 2 new search criteria's.

Users can now search for all sports sessions with the new search criteria "Search by Country" which allows them to see a list of every session their team is evolved in. A click on the national flag of the participating nation also provides users view a complete list of sessions.

The green information bar will assist the users searching for precisely what session they are interested in. Searching criteria for tickets can be done by sport, venue, country or date.

The grey information bar is for New users to create an account, registered users to log in and to obtain information on Ticket Sales Outlets located in Qatar or for users abroad.

The 'Create Account' page will give DAGOC all the appropriate information of customers who have already purchased tickets in Phase 1, so that they would be able to supply a high level of customer service during deliveries of Souvenir tickets.

Tickets purchased online can be collected at any Sales Outlet or at a Venue Box Office (Games time only) by showing the confirmation letter and a photo ID to Ticketing Staff. The account holder must fill in the Authorisation Letter which can be download from the website.
