The Administrative Affairs Department at Dubai Municipality recently honoured 126 employees as part of the annual honouring programme for the employees at a ceremony held at the Municipality Staff Club.

Those who were honoured included the employees who received Excellent Performance Evaluation such as Excellent Official, Excellent Partner, Excellent Employee, Excellent Worker, Exceptionally Hardworking Employees and the employees who completed twenty years of service with the Municipality.

Speaking on the occasion, Obeid Salem Al Shamsi, Assistant Director General for Administrative and General Services Affairs said honouring excellent employees is a tradition that continues at the Municipality. He said it will encourage others to compete themselves to obtain excellence.

Al Shamsi stressed the importance of celebrating such occasions and also holding social gatherings in order to achieve the warmth of relations among the employees.

He said that the higher administration of the Municipality has always been appreciative of the efforts of the employees in making the civic body a model department.

Al Shamsi said Dubai Municipality employees have an important role in  the coming phases of the development of the Emirate of Dubai as the city is progressing at a fast pace in comparison with the other advanced cities of the world.

He reminded the employees of the need for enhanced efforts and hard work to accomplish future projects with excellence.

Al Shamsi congratulated all the honoured employees and also wished them success in their future career.

The ceremony was also attended by Khaleel Ali Hussain, Director of Administrative Affairs Department, Obaid Ibrahim, Head of Administrative Services Section, Hussain Al Fardan, Head of Documentation and Information Section and Mohammed Jassim Al Eraidi, Head of Public Libraries Section.

Khaleel Ali Hussain said the department was conducting honouring ceremonies for the fourth consecutive year in order to appreciate the work of its employees in different sections and units.
