Manama: DIYAR AL MUHARRAQ, one of Bahrain's biggest mixed-use residential urban developments has become the part of Barbar Club's Third Environment Forum 2010 titled 'Corporate Environmental Responsibility'. Further strengthening its stand as an environment-friendly responsible developer, DIYAR AL MUHARRAQ has joined hands with Barbar Sports and Cultural Club by sponsoring a lecture to help preserve the marine life, marine resources and natural beaches in Bahrain. The event also aims to suggest a legal framework for laws and regulations to safeguard marine life. The event is being held under the patronage of Public Commission for Protection of Marine Resources, Environment and Wildlife president and Southern Governor Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

Mr. Aaref Hejres, CEO of DIYAR AL MUHARRAQ said, "The Environment Forum is now in its third year and over the last couple of years it has acted as a catalyst for promoting socially relevant issues. This year too, the aim is to generate more and more awareness among the general public about the conservation of marine life. Our association with the event as well as Barbar Club is due to the shared vision of eco-friendliness and the greater good this event aims to bring for the Kingdom of Bahrain. This is in addition to the support we have extended for various such clubs in Bahrain and also the numerous activities we have executed ourselves on a corporate level."

DIYAR AL MUHARRAQ will be one of the sponsors for the event, which will be held between 20th and 24th April, 2010.
