Industry leaders support their partner channel and customers with Scanner Roadshow offering training and "back to basics" sessions on document scanners.

DICOM FZE today announced that they will embark on a Roadshow in Middle East and Africa, which aims to inform businesses about document scanners and capture technology.

Under the motto "Up2Date with Scanning", DICOM is seeking to raise awareness amongst end customers and further educate partners in the Middle East and Africa region. The Roadshow, taking place in May 2007, will pit stop at several locations in the Middle East and will include South Africa. Customers and partners are encouraged to use this unique opportunity to gather knowledge on the steps in evaluating, selling or buying a document scanner.

This series of events is designed to prepare the partner and reseller channel in understanding more about customer needs when it comes to choosing a document scanner. At the same time customers are encouraged to come along and educate themselves on their own needs when facing the myriad products and technologies on the market. The Roadshow is to be held in UAE, Iran, Saudi Arabia and South Africa. DICOM hopes to add further locations in the second half of 2007.

The "Up2Date with Scanning Roadshow' will include sessions designed specifically for providing key information in evaluating and choosing a document scanner. Participants will be given an educational format, with presentations on topics such as: Evaluating your Document Scanner needs, Document Scanner Features and Benefits to the Capture Process and Software for the Capture Process .Focus will be made on deciphering some of the technical jargon associated with the advanced features of powerful hi-speed document scanners. DICOM's hardware and capture software offerings which include some the best products available on the market will also be presented. Leading scanner manufacturers B?we Bell & Howell, Fujitsu, Kodak, Visioneer and Xerox will be sponsoring the Roadshow.

Businesses are confronted with a huge and sometimes confusing choice when choosing a scanner for their document management needs. A back to the roots training as such is what many decision makers are eager for. This way they can make their product choices without the accompanying doubts about the array of features and functionalities they require. "I think a lot of our partners and customers get tied down with acronyms, features, functionalities and are unable to focus on their needs. This Roadshow is focused on alleviating many of these questions. Today's business environments demand dynamic, flexible products and technology and offerings should be transparent and comprehensive. We need our partners to pass on the key messaging to their customers and businesses' says Lars Jeppesen, Managing Director of DICOM FZE.
