Website attracts approximately 18,000 visitors in first month of operation
Dubai - DHL Middle East, the region's leading express logistics solution providers, has received an overwhelming response to its recently launched career website by achieving approximately 18,000 hits in its first month of operation.
The customer-friendly website, which was launched in August 2005, gives job-seekers an opportunity to apply for various positions at DHL offices across the Middle East - Afghanistan, Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, KSA, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Syria, UAE and Yemen. The website is bilingual customised for both Arabs and expatriates.

The interactive website gives applicants an option to view all jobs available in Middle East by country and department. If no current jobs are open, an applicant can set a 'Job Agent' profile where they can receive email alerts about vacancies that match the criteria set by them. Applicants can also track their applications in their personal space available on the website.
"With the strategic objective of attracting the right talent, DHL has deployed a e-recruitment Management system. This system has an intranet platform to offer visibility of career potential for existing staff, identifying key skills and enabling mobility of talent throughout the Middle East," added Wild.
Once the details are in the system, the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) takes over, processing the application right through the recruitment procedure.
In addition to attracting promising new recruits, ATS allows internal Hiring Managers full visibility of the recruitment process and progress. Catering for their online participation in making speedy recruitment decisions allows applicants opportunity to apply and get response feedback within the shortest time possible.
